In August 2023, the second edition of the Passport was launched, featuring the new inclusion of the Oficinas de Criatividade Padre Himalaya - Centro Ciência Viva de Arcos in the network of centres, and in July 2025, the third edition was launched with the publication of the Faial Journey and the inclusion of the Centro de Interpretação do Vulcão dos Capelinhos - CCV.

This collection of sticker stamps and digital stamps on the app challenged our Super Explorers to visit all the Ciência Viva Science Centres. After running for three years, it came to an end on 30 June 2026. From this date onwards, no further prizes will be awarded… but we promise to return soon with this initiative revamped and with some new features!

The results have been very positive, as during this period 34 families of Super Explorers managed to complete their passport by visiting all the Ciência Viva Science Centres (20 or 21 centres, depending on the period) and enjoyed one-night stays with breakfast provided by the following accommodation partners: INATEL Foundation Hotels, Refúgio das Origens – Rural Tourism; Aldeia da Pedralva and the Wotels Group; Moov Évora; Santa Cruz Youth Hostel; Ribeira Collection Hotel by Piamonte Hotels; Pedras da Rainha - Resort.

The 93 Super Explorers families who completed 15 visits to the Ciência Viva Science Centres won the following prizes:

- 40 cameras, courtesy of Fujifilm Portugal in 2023/24;

- and 53 camping tents, courtesy of Decathlon in 2025/26.

To everyone who collected digital stamps and stickers on the app up until 30 June, here are the rules for the Passport.

HOW TO START

If your card is active, you can collect stickers in both the printed and/or digital version of the passport and win prizes!

• Choose a Ciência Viva Centre to visit (we know it’s not easy – they’re all great!);

• Present your passport and your Ciência Viva Journeys card upon arrival;

• Get a stamp, a sticker for your passport, and a digital sticker in the app;

• You’ll be entitled to prizes after your 5th, 10th, 15th and 21st visits to different Centres, as long as your card is active;*

• Repeated visits to the same Centre do not count towards stickers (but we do recommend going back again and again!);

• Explore with family or friends and share your experience on social media using #CircuitosCienciaViva.

DISCOVER THE PRIZES

• 5^th visit – 1 Ciência Viva Journeys water bottle – delivered at the Science Centres (show your passport);
• 10^th visit – 1 Ciência Viva Journeys Explorer beach towel – delivered at the Centres (show your passport);
• 15^th visit– 1 Quechua tent – camping tent for 4 people, MH100 XXL (with the support of Decathlon). Provide your details (name and email of the 1st cardholder) to the Centres, along with the nearest Decathlon store to collect your tent;
• 20^th or 21^st visit*– 1 night accommodation in APA in a double room with one or two extra beds at the INATEL Foundation’s hotels in Castelo de Vide, Oeiras, Foz do Arelho, Luso, and Linhares da Beira (maximum of two adults and two minor children)**—provided by Ciência Viva—please provide your details to the Centres. The INATEL Foundation is an accommodation partner of the Ciência Viva Journeys.

The Passaport stamps collection and prizes’ dinamic were valid until June 30, 2026*.

 

* Passport: Offer subject to stock available at each Ciência Viva Science Centre. The Ciência Viva Journeys Passport was valid until June 30, 2026. It is a complement to the Ciência Viva Journeys card and could be sold separately.

• Holders of cards purchased before July 1, 2025, will continue using the 2^nd edition passport (green cover), with 20 sticker slots. Prizes are awarded on the 5^th, 10^th, 15^th and 20^th visits to different Science Centres.
• Holders of cards purchased from July 1, 2025 onwards will receive the 3^rd edition passport (blue cover), with 21 sticker slots, corresponding to 21 Science Centres that currently integrate the card. Prizes are awarded on the 5^th, 10^th, 15^th and 21^th visits to different Science Centres.

** Accommodation reservations can only be used by the winning cardholders. Subject to availability during the low and mid seasons, excluding holidays, festive seasons, and the high season. Valid for 1 year from the date the voucher is issued. Not cumulative with other promotions or offers.
